Outdoor Epoxy Inspiration
From pool decks to garages — flake, solid color, and cementitious decorative overlays. Overlays come in a wide range of colors and fully customizable design patterns, making them a great option for exterior resurfacing. Each install is custom to your space.

Where Outdoor Epoxy Shines
Outdoor epoxy coatings transform any concrete surface — Memphis homeowners use them for pool decks, patios, porches, and even indoor garage flake floors.
Outdoor surfaces we coat:
- Pool decks
- Patios
- Porches
- Walkways
- Outdoor entry pads
- Outdoor restaurant patios
- Carport floors
We also do indoor flake garage and basement floors — see our Garage Floor Epoxy and Basement Epoxy pages.
Why Outdoor Polyaspartic Beats Standard Epoxy Outside
Built for Memphis sun, humidity, and bare feet.
Up to 20°F Cooler Underfoot
Flake texture and light colors reflect heat. Your pool deck stays barefoot-friendly even in August Memphis sun.
UV-Stable Polyaspartic Topcoat
Standard epoxy yellows in sunlight. Our polyaspartic topcoat keeps your colors true for years — no yellowing, no chalking.
Non-Slip Texture
Flake texture creates a tactile non-slip surface — safer wet than smooth concrete, painted decks, or sealer.
Outdoor Coating Systems We Offer
Two UV-stable outdoor systems — pick the look and feel that fits your space.
Flake System (Polyaspartic Base + Polyaspartic Topcoat)
Decorative chip-and-flake broadcast with a polyaspartic base coat and polyaspartic topcoat — both layers UV-stable. Adds grip, hides minor concrete imperfections, and our most popular outdoor finish.
Solid Color System (Epoxy Base + Tinted Urethane Topcoat)
Clean single-color finish in matte or gloss. Pigmented epoxy base coat sealed with a tinted urethane topcoat — UV-stable, easy to clean, low-maintenance.
Cementitious Decorative Overlay
Stamped or hand-tooled cement-based overlay applied directly over existing concrete — slate tile, ashlar, flagstone, and custom patterns. Wide color range, fully customizable designs, and a great option for exterior resurfacing of tired patios and pool decks.
We bring real samples to your free in-home quote so you can see the systems in your space.
What's Included
Every flake floor we install goes through the same four steps.
- 1
Diamond-Grind Concrete Prep
Industrial planetary grinder removes existing coatings and opens the concrete pores for a chemical bond.
- 2
Epoxy or Polyaspartic Base Coat
Manufacturer-recommended primer system — bonds directly to ground concrete.
- 3
Decorative Layer (Flake Broadcast or Color Tint)
Custom flake broadcast or pigmented solid color — whichever system you picked. Full coverage, no thin spots.
- 4
Polyaspartic Topcoat
UV-stable clear coat in gloss or matte. Locks in the flake, hardens the surface, blocks stains.
Total install: 2-3 days. Walk on in 24 hours; drive on in 48-72. Full-broadcast flake systems require 2-3 days because each layer must cure before the next — our 1-day polyaspartic option is a different (non-flake) system.
Outdoor Epoxy Coating Cost in Memphis
Pricing depends on square footage, the system you choose (flake or solid color), and surface prep needs. Typical two-car garage runs $2,800-$4,200. Pool decks and patios vary by size and prep — we'll give you a fixed quote in person.
Lifetime Delamination Warranty
Every flake floor we install carries a lifetime delamination warranty — if the coating ever lifts from the concrete because of how we prepped or bonded it, we come back and fix it. Call (901) 657-3373 and we'll walk through the full details of what's covered.

Common Questions
Honest answers about flake floors indoors and outdoors.
UV-stable outdoor systems (flake or solid color) typically last 15-20 years when installed over properly prepped concrete. The polyaspartic or tinted urethane topcoat handles Memphis freeze-thaw cycles, sun, and humidity without cracking, yellowing, or peeling.
